Overview

In this guide, we will show you how to build a Triangle Shot Stalker. This is by no means the best guide. The stats, skills and equipment suggested here are for your reference to help you plan your own build.

  1. Pros & Cons
  2. Overall Stats Analysis
  3. Thief to Rogue Build
  4. Rogue to Stalker Build
  5. Stalker to Shadow Chaser Build
  6. Runes
  7. Cards

1. Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Massive one-shot burst damage using Triangle Shot
  • Able to one-shot mobs for effective grinding
  • Good for PvP

Cons

  • Not versatile as this build relies solely on a single skill
  • Unable to make full use of passive auto-attack skills such as Repeated Firing and Snatcher
  • Requires a lot of SP
  • No new skills to complement once you switch to 3rd Job Class Shadow Chaser

2. Overall Stats Analysis

Primary Stat: Dex
Secondary Stat: Agi / Int

Your primary stat as a bow user is Dex as it increases your HIT and ranged damage.

Your secondary stat will be Agi and Int. Agi increases your Flee and Attack Spd. Flee will be required to dodge enemies. Attack Spd is generally not as important as spamming Triangle Shot does not rely on Attack Spd unless you mix auto attack into your attack chain. Triangle Shot consumes a large amount of SP and Int increases your Max SP as well as SP Regen.

3. Thief to Rogue Build

Thief Stat Distribution

As a Thief, your primary goal is to level as quickly as possible to job change to Rogue. Since there are no bow skills as a Thief, the standard build for all thieves regardless of build and job change to Assassin or Rogue is Agility Dagger Thief.

Put 20 points to Dex and the remaining points equally split among Str and Agi. You do not have to worry about the points added to Str as it is only temporary while using daggers. You can always do a stat reset to re-allocate your stats again.

Str – 41
Agi – 42
Vit – 0
Int – 0
Dex – 20
Luk – 0

The stats above are based on Base Level 50 Thief. Job Level stat bonuses and equipment bonuses are not included.

Thief Skill Distribution

10 – Double Attack
10 – Improve Flee
9 – Hiding
1 – Detoxify
10 – Enchant Poison

The skill distribution is pretty standard for Thief. Max out Double Attack and Improve Flee before adding on to the rest of the skills.

Thief Suggested Equipment

Some of the suggested equipment below is in preparation for Bow Rogue / Stalker and might not benefit the usage of daggers.

Weapon – Fullblack Dagger
Headwear – Cat Ear Beret
Face – Any
Mouth – Any
Back – Any
Tail – Marchosias’ Tail
Off-hand – Rosa Bracelet
Armor – Tights
Garment – Ancient Cape
Footgear – Sack Teddy Shoes / Rune Shoes
Accessory I – Luna Brooch
Accessory II – Luna Brooch

The first 2 equipment you should concentrate on getting will be Fullblack Dagger and Tights. Make sure you upgrade them to higher tiers as they boost your damage significantly using daggers.

4. Rogue to Stalker Build

Once you do your 1st Class Job Change to Rogue, you can continue using daggers or transition to using bows. Daggers will deal more damage but Bows will be more effective in farming due to its ranged attack. In this guide, we will transition to using bows instead of daggers.

Rogue Stat Distribution

Do a stat reset from the Eternal Rock received from the Level 30 Growth Pack.

For every 3 points of Dex, add 2 point of Agi and 1 point of Int

Str – 0
Agi – 46
Vit – 0
Int – 25
Dex – 86
Luk – 0

The stats above are based on Base Level 75 Rogue. Job Level stat bonuses and equipment bonuses are not included.

Rogue Skill Distribution

10 – Double Strafe
3 – Repeated Firing
5 – Snatch
5 – Rob
10 – Vulture’s Eye
4 – Plagiarism
3 – Tunnel Drive

Double Strafe and Vulture’s Eye should be your top priority. Double Strafe is the only bow skill that Rogues have now and Vulture’s Eye increases HIT and distance of Auto attacks, Double Strafe and Triangle Shot.

Plagiarism should also be learnt up to Level 4. With the Episode 4.0 update, you can now learn Enchant Deadly Poison Level 4 from Highland Parasite. This instantly increases your attack by a massive 12%!

Rob is mainly for farming purposes as you can receive 2 copies of materials (4 copies if you use Lightning Chain!). Every increase in skill level increases the chance to proc Rob by 2%.

Tunnel Drive is used to increase flee and move speed while hiding.

Rogue Suggested Equipment

Weapon – Cross Bow
Headwear – Cat Ear Beret
Face – Nut on Head
Mouth – Spiked Scarf
Back – Quiver
Tail – Marchosias’ Tail
Off-hand – Nile Bracelet
Armor – Tights
Garment – Ancient Cape
Footgear – Rune Shoes
Accessory I – Luna Brooch
Accessory II – Luna Brooch

Make the switch to Cross Bow[1] for your weapon and upgrade it to Tier III just before Mystery Bow then socket your Cross Bow. An upgraded Cross Bow[2] with 2 cards deal much more damage than a single socket Mystery Bow with 1 card. Save up your zeny for upgrading and refining Roguemaster’s Bow which is the best bow for Triangle Shot.

5. Stalker to Shadow Chaser Build

Good job on getting here as this is where things get really fun 😊! Once you become a Stalker, Triangle Shot skill will be available and the next most important thing runes. Aeisr Monument can be unlocked from your Guild Hall. Upgrade it to Tier 2 Aeisr Monument as soon as possible, as Triangle Shot runes require Tier 2 Aeisr Monument.

Stalker Stat Distribution

The Stat distribution remains largely the same as Rogue. You can play around with the ratio of Agi and Int. If you have sufficient SP regen equipment, then add Agi. Make sure you max out Dex to 99 as soon as possible.

Str – 0
Agi – 79
Vit – 0
Int – 50
Dex – 99
Luk – 0

The stats above are based on Base Level 99 Stalker. Job Level stat bonuses and equipment bonuses are not included.

[Episode 4.0 Update] In Episode 4.0, the max stat limit has been raised to 119 so you can push your Dex further to 119. We do not recommend going above 99 as of now as this will be at the cost of other stats such as Agi and Int.

Stalker Skill Distribution

At Job Level 40, these are the skills you should learn:

10 – Triangle Shot
10 – Rogue’s Nature
1 – Intimidate
3 – Strip Accessory
3 – Double Accessory Removal
3 – Strip Weapon
3 – Strip Shield
5 + 5 – Rob
3 + 2 – Tunnel Drive

After Job Breakthrough to Job Level 70, these are the skills you should learn:

10 + 5 – Improve Flee
10 + 10 – Vulture’s Eye
10 + 10 – Triangle Shot
5 – Free Skill Points

Final Stalker Skill Distribution

Thief Skills
10 – Double Attack
15 – Improve Flee
9 – Hiding
1 – Detoxify
10 – Enchant Poison

Rogue Skills
10 – Double Strafe
3 – Repeated Firing
5 – Snatch
10 – Rob
20 – Vulture’s Eye
4 – Plagiarism
5 – Tunnel Drive

Stalker Skills
20 – Triangle Shot
10 – Rogue’s Nature
1 – Intimidate
3 – Strip Accessory
3 – Double Accessory Removal
3 – Strip Weapon
3 – Strip Shield
5 – Free Skill Points

We did not include Snatcher in the Skills to learn as we will be relying mainly on Triangle Shot skill. However, with high enough Attack Speed, you can mix in 1 – 2 shots of auto-attack into your attack chain during the cast delay of Triangle Shot for Snatcher to proc during farming. You can always create different builds and switch among them using Ymir’s Notebook. If you would like to max out Rob and Snatcher for farming then sacrifice the points from strip skills since the strip skills are only for PvP.

Stalker Suggested Equipment

Weapon – Roguemaster’s Bow
Headwear – Cat Ear Beret
Face – Nut on Head
Mouth – Spiked Scarf
Back – Quiver
Tail – Marchosias’ Tail / Nine Tails
Off-hand – Nile Bracelet
Armor – Tights / Ninja Suit Moonlight / Bohemian Coat
Garment – Ancient Cape
Footgear – Advanced Sack Teddy Shoes / Rune Boots
Accessory I – Luna Brooch / Powerful Ring
Accessory II – Luna Brooch / Powerful Ring

The best bow for Triangle Shot is Roguemaster’s Bow upgraded to Tier IV refined to +10 or higher. However, note that this bow is only meant to boost Triangle Shot damage and quite frankly sucks at everything else.

6. Runes

Triangle Shot Stalker requires Tier 2 Aeisr Monument to unleash its full power so make sure you acquire Tier 2 Aeisr Monument as soon as possible.

The runes that you should unlock:

  • Triangle Shot
  • Ranged Physical Damage +%
  • Ignore Def +%
  • Bow Mastery
  • Atk +%
  • Dex+
  • Agi+
  • Dmg to Demi-Human +%

You can refer to the Stalker Rune Grid from romsociety here.

7. Cards

Weapon – Any Size / Element / Race Card
Headwear – Myst Case Card / Incubus Card
Off-hand – Thara Frog★Card
Armor – Archer Skeleton★Card
Garment – Nine Tail Card
Footgear – Eggyra Card / Sohee Card
Accessory I – Greatest General Card
Accessory II – Zipper Bear★Card / Any Element or Race Card

Since Triangle Shot consumes a lot of SP, the cards recommended are focused on SP Regen. However, if you wish to you can always switch to damage cards to further increase your Triangle Shot damage.

Greatest General Card effect will only proc while using auto attacks and the final damage increase of 10% is huge.

Conclusion

In general, Triangle Shot Stalker is a fun build to play but it is not versatile as it is focused only on one skill Triangle Shot.

We hope you enjoyed the guide! Feel free to comment if you have any suggestions or questions!
